In June, we are excited to host a panel discussion focusing on the current housing market in southeastern North Carolina. This timely event will bring together experts from various fields to provide an in-depth analysis of the region's housing landscape.

Attendees can expect to leave with a comprehensive understanding of these key issues, armed with the knowledge to navigate the housing market more effectively. Our guest speakers include:

Stephanie Lanier, Team Leader with the Lanier Property Group & Immediate Past Board Chair of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Stephanie will give an update on market trends, the state of the real estate market, and the opportunities for buyers in today's economy. Her insights will be valuable for young professionals, whether they are looking to buy their first home or invest in property in the future.

Tyrone Garrett, J.D., CEO of the Wilmington Housing Authority, will share insights on affordable housing initiatives underway, challenges for working families, and the role nonprofits play in meeting housing needs. Young professionals can expect to learn more about affordable housing options and the importance of community support systems for housing stabilization and production.

Tyler Newman, president and CEO of Business Alliance for a Sound Economy (BASE), leads a coalition dedicated to promoting pro-growth public policies that create economic opportunities in southeastern NC. Tyler will provide an update on current policies being considered in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick counties, focusing on their potential impact on housing production, cost and economic growth.
