Financials and bookkeeping are just one of the many tasks and demands that compete for a business owner's time and attention. Accurate financials don't just help avoid regulatory pitfalls that can quickly derail a business owner as they start or scale an operation. Still, if implemented correctly, sound financial practices will produce an accurate reflection of the organization's health, which is essential for good decision-making.
This program will provide participants insights into the basics of bookkeeping, why it is important, common issues encountered in the workplace, tips to correct or avoid common missteps, and just as important tools and systems which small business owners should consider when starting, scaling or looking to exit a business.
Attendees can expect to spend time with an expert in the financial/accounting field who will guide business owners through the processes they use to help clients create good financial habits. Participants will also hear directly from a former small business owner who utilized quality financial management practices to grow and exit a business successfully.
Our panelists include Chris Capone, owner of Capone & Associates, and Trisha Bennett, former co-owner of Bennett Brothers Yachts.
