The Wilmington Chamber's Public Policy Committee monitors and advises the Chamber on legislative and regulatory issues at the local, state, and federal levels and promotes the interests of our membership.
Our next Public Policy meeting on Tuesday, November 22, from 8:00 – 9:15 am at the chamber office downtown or via Zoom.
This month, our guest speaker will be Joe Stallings, Director of Economic Development at the North Carolina Railroad Company. Mr. Stallings will be presenting on NCRR’s economic development programs and how the organization works with local economic development partners to drive opportunities to the state.
The North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) owns and manages the 317-mile rail corridor that stretches from Charlotte to the Port Terminal in Morehead City. Our rail corridor is a vital route for freight moving east to west, and north to south. It connects to routes carrying freight and people throughout the eastern United States. The railroad corridor is a rich asset, which we proudly protect and manage for the benefit of North Carolina’s citizens.
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce office is located at 1 Estell Lee Place, Wilmington, NC 28401. Our guests can park in our parking lot or at the Wilmington Convention Center parking deck. Our main entrance faces the Cape Fear River and is accessed by passing through the gate to our building's left.
Virtual attendees will be expected to keep their cameras on during the meeting. Participants who turn cameras off will be removed.
All Chamber members are welcome to attend these meetings. There is no cost to attend. These meetings are not open to nonmembers.
