Event Description:
The Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce invites members in good standing to attend the Public Policy Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 24, from 8:30 to 9:45 am.
This month’s guest speaker is Rebekah Roth, Planning and Land Use Director for New Hanover County. A native of southeastern North Carolina, Roth brings more than 15 years of experience in comprehensive planning, development regulation, and implementation. She has led New Hanover County’s work on the 2016 Comprehensive Plan and managed the Unified Development Ordinance update completed in 2020.
Prior to joining New Hanover County, Roth spent more than eight years with the Town of Burgaw, where she served as planning administrator. She was recognized as the Outstanding Local Government Planner of the Year by the Cape Fear Council of Governments. Roth is a certified planner through the American Planning Association and a certified zoning official through the North Carolina Association of Zoning Officials.
This meeting is offered in person and virtually and is open exclusively to current Chamber members. Advance online registration is required.
