The African American Business Council is dedicated to driving the growth and success of Black-owned businesses by connecting attendees with business resources, professional development, business education, and networking opportunities. Our mission is to support and strengthen African American entrepreneurs and business owners, contributing to a robust and thriving business community in Wilmington.

Lynne, owner of LJ Design Studio, provides interior design and branding for businesses and individuals to tell their story through design and branding.

Since beginning her career in design in 2011, Lynne has been threading details, fresh ideas, and custom design for commercial and residential interiors, weddings, and non-profit and large-scale events. With a background in managerial and administrative skills, graduating from UNC Pembroke with a degree in Public & Non-Profit Administration she became notably known for her ability to tell amazing stories through design.

LJ Design Studio was behind the interior of Channel Powered by Live Oak Bank; Interior of On Thyme Restaurant, Women of Achievement: YWCA Lower Cape Fear (2019); The Fete: Wilmington’s Exclusive Secret Dinner (2017-2018); Interior of Greenline Pizza & Steak (2015); Pretty in Pink Foundation's Pretty In Pink Fashion Walk & Gala (2015-2016); Naturally Fly Wilmington's Natural Hair Expo (2015); Med-North Health Center's Hope for Health Gala (2015) and Operation Marry Me Military as the host planner for New Hanover County(2013-2014).
