Members of the Leadership Wilmington Alumni Council are invited to tour Project Grace. New Hanover County is transforming an entire block in downtown Wilmington, anchoring cultural resources to spark curiosity, exploration, and learning for residents and visitors alike. Redevelopment of the block includes a new, modern library and Cape Fear Museum facility on the north side (facing Grace Street, between Third and Second streets) and a future mixed-use development on the south side (facing Chestnut Street, between Third and Second streets) of the block, bringing new business opportunities that complement the community-centered approach to building a downtown cultural hub.
The library is slated to open to the public in late summer or early fall of 2025. Following the building’s completion, the Cape Fear Museum will begin installing its new exhibits and is expected to open in early 2026.
RSVP REQUIRED: Due to space limitations, this tour is limited to 20 people. Attendees must RSVP by Tuesday, April 15 to reserve their spot.
This is an active construction site and closed-toed shoes must be worn. We will provide PPE to all attendees.
Please arrive at the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce at 4:15pm to walk to the site together.
